Our school has 40 experienced teachers from each branch, 1 principal, 1 head assistant and 2 assistants, 2  counsellors, 2 clerks, 1 secretary, and a person who is in charge of financial works and documentations and a security guard.

Our school which was founded as an Anatolian High School started its education with 19 teachers and 79 students in 1989-1990. Built on 10 acres of land in 1989-1990 academic year our school has enough green space that the students can benefit.We have got not only a basketball, football and volleyball court but also a sports hall opened in 2004,a conference hall opened in 2006. Our school has been strengthened against earthquakes in 2006. In addition, the dining hall,kitchen,biology physics and chemistry labs were all renovated and  modernized in the last few years.The school garden has been planted with several kinds of flowers. The name of the school library has been renamed as Çağla Arin , who was our former  student and killed at an early age.

KAL has prepared its 2402 students to university life up to now. Most of our students who graduated from this school, finished a good university and had the chance to find a good jobs.Our school has the consciousness of students’ abilities and awareness of their developments during high school education. KAL has had so many achivements not only in İzmir but also throughout Turkey on sports and cultural activities.We have won first place in a football tournament which was held  between Anatolian High Schools in İzmir. KAL volleyball team became very successful and became the champion in the volleyball leauge in the town.Last year we organized dance competition among all high schools in the city for the first time. It is one of our targets to continue this activity annually. In this context, the third of this contest will be held in the 2010-2011 academic year. Our school has an international success by winning a silver medal in chemistry project. We have been involved in several projects and social events with a great number of enthusiastic students so far.KAL is the first and only school which was invited to Innovation Program which is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Ankara. Within this project, some of teachers and students were taken to a tour in the United States during the mid-term holiday. Our school was invited again in 2009-2010 academic year to Innovation Project. The students participated with 3 projects. Projects were presented in English.  The elections of the students who will go to U.S. was held in our school. Our students became the 1^st in a quiz show that was held by Ministry of Education in our region.

The EU project which started in 2008  was completed in July 2010. Within the framework of this project, our principal ,two school teachers and 10 students  visited Poland. Then,the Polish students and teachers visited our school. The cost of the project was paid by the EU. The preparations for the new EU project have already started.

Our school won the second place in the project competition which was organized by The Scientific and Technological Research  Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). In traditional dance

competition our school became the 1^st in the Aegean Region and the 3^rd in the world.We also won the best costume award in this dance competition.

Last  but not least Karsiyaka Anadolu Lisesi is a large family who are eager to study and will never give up.
